Public Engagement Strategy - SOW Report

(BRWA - 2012)

Public participation is essential throughout the watershed management planning process. The purpose of engaging the public with the SOW report is to provide watershed residents, stakeholders and decision-makers with the information they need to make better informed decisions about how best to manage the land and water resources of the Battle River and Sounding Creek watersheds. By working collaboratively to manage these resources well, we can promote the long-term ecological, social and economic sustainability of our watersheds. It is also our hope that by engaging people from the beginning of the planning process, they will have an increased sense of ownership and a desire to be involved for the duration of the process.

This report outlines the various ways in which the BRWA will engage people with the SOW report.
