Economic Activity and Ecosystem Services in the Battle River and Sounding Creek Watersheds

There is increasing recognition that the economic well-being of a society is based on a combination of two factors: 1) the employment and incomes resulting from economic production, and 2) the benefits that society obtains from various ecological functions or ecosystem services (air, water and land, among others).

This report outlines a preliminary estimate of the benefits of economic activity and ecosystem services in the Battle River and Sounding Creek watersheds.
