The Battle River Watershed Alliance always welcomes help, be it volunteers at events, new committee members, or engaged citizens to further our mission of creating and sustaining a healthy watershed.  People of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are welcome.  Specific opportunities will be posted here as the need arises.  If you have a specific skill or time you would like to offer,  you may contact Nathalie at nathalie@battleriverwatershed.ca or by phone 1-888-672-0276. 

 

Upcoming Involvement Opportunities

PhotoVoice Project: A picture is worth a thousand words. Share your perspective through the use of photography! The PhotoVoice project will be happening in 3 areas in 2012- Wainwright, Stettler and Special Areas.  We will be releasing more information on the contest early in 2012 however we would welcome your comments prior to contest opening.  Contact sarah@battleriverwatershed.ca for more information.

Your Land, Your Water, Your Voice:
With the launch of the State of the Watershed report, the BRWA hosted 11 community workshops across the Battle River and Sounding Creek watersheds in November 2011. Environmental Farm Plan

  • As of December 2009, the Alberta Environmental Farm Plan Company is no longer operational. With the switch of the Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) program to the extension service of Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD), the best place to get information on EFPs and related support under the Growing Forward Program is to contact the ARD toll-free phone resource 310-FARM (3276) or the Growing Forward website.
